This tunnel allows secure communications and the ability to extend local campus network access to off-site locations. Cisco AnyConnect VPN is the VPN client available for connecting to Carnegie Mellon resources. The virtual private network service at Chiang Mai University can be used anywhere to search the research database, for library articles and to use the online teaching system. The VPN connection must be verified by your Chiang Mai University IT Account (CMU Account) every time before connection. Select Add VPN Connection. Enter a Description (e.g., CMU General VPN) and the Server Address vpn.cmu.edu. Click Save. Connect. Open the AnyConnect app. Select the VPN connection you added. Turn AnyConnect VPN ON. Select a Group drop-down. See Which connection type? for help. Enter your Andrew account userID and password. Click Connect.
